Answers from Dr. Kaiser Question: I am currently on Anadrol. I understand it is very toxic to the liver. Would I be better off going back to Deca-Durablin or changing toOxandralone? I am on triple combination therapy (Viramune, Zerit, Epivir). Love the book refer to it often! Thanks for your work. Dr. Kaiser replies: Though I frequently prescribe anabolic steroids to support the building and maintaining of muscle mass, I have never written a prescription for Anadrol. That is because my review of its study data reveal quite a bit of liver toxicity and a real shortage of proven benefit. Oxandralone and Deca-durobolin on the other hand, have been shown to have good safety profiles and proven efficacy in many years of personal experience andresearch studies.
