Ask Dr. Kaiser Question: I live in Anchorage, Alaska and tested HIV+ two years ago. Over 10 Dr. Kaiser replies: Making sure that the intestinal system is "squeaky clean" is a fundamental principle to helping one heal from a chronic health condition. I have discovered the presence of extremely unhealthy intestinal environments in patients who are either asymptomatic or who have been tested by "standard" laboratories and told that everything was clear. The bottom line is that a comprehensive stool analysis by a lab specializing in this kind of testing (e.g. Great Smokies Diagnostic Laboratories) is required to thoroughly evaluate your intestinal health. This test, which requires the collection of three separate stool samples, will effectively evaluate you for three important things: 1) parasitic infections 2) fungal infections 3) the presence of enough healthy bacteria. An imbalance in any of these can cause an unhealthy intestinal environment. Only health practitioners can order this test and it requires a great
deal of experience to interpret correctly. If you cannot locate a practitioner
in Alaska to help you in this fashion I would be happy to arrange for
testing and an evaluation through a phone consultation. Best regards. Check out our Message Board! |
